A rather grand staircase designed and made for a Georgian inspired new-build house where the clients wanted a large entrance hall with an added touch of period elegance in a galleried staircase as the main feature.
With newell posts at over 2 metres tall, the oversized balusters work well in proportion to them. The stained oak handrails are wider than one might usually find in a contemporary private home but they too are in proportion and highlight the elegant lines of the stairs as they divide in two and extend to the first floor.
