Cheshire Family Home

We collaborated with Jessica May Design in several key areas of this luxurious Cheshire family home, including the main kitchen, staircase, living room, study, home bar and laundry room.

The open plan kitchen has stained oak cabinets with a combination of flat and fluted fronts and with marble-effect ceramic worktops.

The generous sized island features an induction hob with integral down-draught extractor, lots of storage and preparation space.

We designed the custom L-shaped banquette seating arrangement to the rear of the island to provide a comfortable casual dining option as an alternative to the main dining table itself.

The smart laundry and utility room has off-white painted, framed cabinetry with a dark stained oak coach-line, highlighting the centre panels and coordinating with the bar handles.

A large Butler’s sink is set within the marble-effect ceramic worktop which extends to the backsplash and under-lit shelf.

The opulent home bar brings together a luxurious combination of materials and finishes including light oak framed cabinetry with satin antique brass fittings and marble-effect worktops and wall panels.

Open shelving for glassware on the rear wall features a back-lit antiqued fluted mirror with a satin antique brass framework.

The rear of the bar itself is finished with a broad fluted back panel painted in 'mole skin' by Paper and Paint Library, with slim brushed brass strips to complement the rest of the scheme and enhance a sense of glamour.

We were also commissioned to create the full length wall-mounted mirror with a brushed brass and ‘mother-of-pearl’ frame which adds an extra touch of glamour.

For the study with an 'Art-Deco' inspired design, we created the wall panelling and fitted cabinetry in 'new black' by Paper and Paint library with natural linen-effect centre panels for the sophisticated study.

Stained oak open shelving cabinets with discreet integral lighting coordinate with the desk and allow photographs, sculpture and ornaments to be displayed adding character and personality to the space.

For the living room, inset framed open shelving arrangements in stained oak create a feature in their own right.

With staggered shelves and a layered lighting scheme with glass pendants, down lights and concealed LED strips, they are a contemporary take on more traditional built-in shelving.

The staircase with its classic contemporary styling has an elegant natural oak handrail which curves its way around the decorative metal balustrade at the base of the stair.

The oak treads are finished in one of our signature pale grey stains to complement the understated palette chosen for the entrance hall of the beautifully designed property.
