Banquette Seating

Banquettes can offer a great solution for seating throughout the house especially in a kitchen dining space. With lots of options available as with everything that we do, we design to suit the available space and individual requirements of our clients.

Here are a few examples to show the variety of styles and finishes.

Where space is limited, a banquette can be designed to maximise the usable area for seating around a dining table allowing more flexibility especially for families with small children.

To create a more comfortable dining arrangement than a bar top but less formal than a separate table, a banquette can be extended from a kitchen island in a straight, circular, or elliptical form depending on the space and table shape.

Not always used for dining areas banquette seating can be positioned anywhere where there is space and can offer a great spot to sit in a transitionary area such as a hallway or landing. They can be also designed to include useful storage to keep things tidy in the area around them.

This upholstered seating arrangement was designed for a very spacious master bedroom with a beautiful lake view. The fluted base section was designed to match the adjacent built-in cabinetry either side.
