Working with you

Whether you’re planning a new kitchen or some specialist architectural joinery for any area in your home, we’d be happy to have an initial chat over the phone, online or in one of our showrooms to discuss how we could help you.

Getting started: When you’re ready, our designer will start by taking a detailed brief to understand your exact requirements and advise you on the best options to turn your ideas into reality. While each project is truly bespoke to suit you and your space, we have displays of our work along with samples of finishes and fittings in the showrooms for you to see.

The design process: With the brief and a guide to your budget our designer will work on some initial ideas and an outline quotation for you. Depending on the type of project, we will prepare detailed sketches or CAD drawings to present at a further meeting. Some tweaks and alterations can then be made before the design and quotation is finalised.

Production begins:  Once you’ve placed your order, final production drawings are completed and issued to our dedicated workshop in Derbyshire where our experienced craftsmen begin work on creating your project. Sourcing and selecting the best materials and components for you, we only work with trusted, quality suppliers of products which we know perform to our exacting standards over years of use.

Project co-ordination:  Final service drawings are completed and distributed to all the relevant parties involved in the project including your architect, Interior Designer and main contractor as applicable. Our team will visit site to check dimensions, monitor the development of the space, establish any access issues and liaise with the other professionals and trades involved. So that everything runs smoothly, we take responsibility for ensuring our area of the site is prepared as planned, so you don’t have to, and our installation is scheduled in to suit site progress.

Delivery and Installation: Your order is delivered to your home wherever you live in the UK and it’s carefully unpacked by our experienced joiners. How long the installation will take depends on the size and nature of the project. We are aware that work carried out in the home can be disruptive, and we aim to make the process as professional, efficient and personal as possible. (Our team of experienced fitters and painters will be overseen by a dedicated Project Manager who will always be available to deal personally with any queries that may arise.)

Aftersales: Once the installation has been completed our team will make sure you’re happy with everything and deal with any snagging issues promptly. We like to return around six months after installation just to check everything over make any adjustments that may be needed as everything has settled in. Our teams are then available to for return visits should you need any adjustments or repairs in the future to maintain everything working properly and looking good.

Working with professionals

If you are an Architect, Interior Designer or main contractor or project specifier, our aim is to assist you in developing your ideas for a project and to turn them into a reality as smoothly and effectively as possible. Whether you are specifying a kitchen, bathroom or range of architectural joinery our design team are at hand to help and work with you throughout the various stages of the project. Many of our regular specifiers see the benefit of consulting with us at a very early stage of a project to take advantage of our specific insight and expertise ahead of finalising specific dimensions and structural elements.

We understand the challenges faced when managing a full building project with so many complex areas to coordinate so we take in pride in making your life easier when it comes to our area of work. Unlike most joinery businesses, we have the design and specification expertise in-house and you and your clients are always welcomed to visit us at either of our showrooms in London and Knutsford to view plans, samples, appliances and physical examples of details.

Once instructed, we take responsibility for producing presentation and working drawings, liaising with project managers to monitor site preparation and then the installation itself. Our ten-year warranty gives you and your clients comfort that we stand by the quality of our workmanship, but we understand the importance of reliable aftersales service and have the teams in place to deliver whatever is needed when.
